Overview
The Faculty of Science and Technology at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University has a rich history of development:
1964: Established as the Science Division of Sakon Nakhon Teacher Training School.
1975: Transitioned to the Faculty of Science and Technology under the Teacher’s College Act, comprising nine departments, including Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and more.
1995: Renamed under the Rajabhat Institute Act, maintaining its nine departments.
1999: Transitioned to academic program groups, later separating agriculture and home economics into the Faculty of Agricultural Technology. 2004: Elevated to university status under the Rajabhat University Act, with six program groups, including Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Biology and Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Health Science.
Key Developments
2006: Introduced eight bachelor’s degree programs and a master’s degree in Science Education.
2010: Merged programs into broader fields like Biology and Environmental Science and established a Physics master’s degree.
2018-2023: Expanded with new programs in Data Science, Digital Technology, and updated Public Health curriculums.
