SNRU Participates in MOU for the “Youth Leaders for Local and Global Environmental Stewardship” Program
On September 9, 2024, Assistant Professor Chakrit Chanchitpreecha, President of Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University (SNRU), participated in the opening ceremony of the “Awareness Enhancement Project: Youth Leaders for Local and Global Environmental Stewardship” program. He also signed an academic cooperation agreement (MOU) between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and 38 Rajabhat Universities.
The event took place at the Mida Hotel, Don Mueang Airport, Bangkok, and SNRU was represented by four staff members and student leaders. The event was honored by General Dapong Ratanasuwan, Privy Councillor, who presided over the opening ceremony and the MOU signing. The objective of this collaboration is to enhance awareness, share knowledge, and encourage adaptation to mitigate the impacts of climate change. The program focuses on the conservation, protection, and restoration of natural resources and the environment, promoting sustainable management and use. It aims to equip Rajabhat University personnel and students nationwide with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead climate action and contribute to the nation’s sustainable development.
Rajabhat Universities, being close to local communities, play a crucial role in connecting with the people, driving national missions, and shaping the future of Thailand in the areas of natural resources and environmental sustainability.
